Self-Care Technique: Pause

Self Care Challenge – Day 5

Pausing. Each day I do my best to pause throughout the day,  take a breath and then move on. I find the more I am able to slow down and check in with my present state of  mind and body , the better I do with the rest of the day.  Sometimes I use an imaging practice I learned in a mindfulness training. I envision a stop sign and think about each letter as it represents a reminder for me to slow down and: Stop, Take a breath,  Observe and Proceed. .
