Self Care Technique: Breathing

As a therapist and a coach I view self-care as an integral part of my work. Here’s one of my daily self-care routine. In the morning, before getting out of bed I do 5 to 10 minutes of slow, deep breathing. It helps me center myself and generate energy for the day ahead. At night, I do the same thing, focusing on the breath clears the chatter from the day’s events and assure a deeper, more relaxed sleep.
