Jennifer Risio

Jennifer draws on almost 25 years of experience in yoga, and energy healing. She was captivated by the deep personal transformation when she first stepped onto the mat in 1997. She began her teaching journey while living in Newport, RI in 2009. She has been inspired by so many great yogis and gurus throughout her yoga journey, and this resonates in her teachings through her eclectic interdisciplinary Flow! She found her passion for this practice early on, and is grateful, and honored to share this passion with her students!

Her classes are creative and fun! Each sequence is designed to help the student find grace and stillness. strength and agility. while igniting breath and movement as one! Watch the mind relax and the heart shine! She believes yoga and LIFE should be filled with freedom. grace, compassion, and lots of laughter on and off the mat.

Jennifer is the assistant manager of the Wellness Studio. She would love to connect with you to see how we can be of service to the community.  She is also a Reiki Master Teacher (RMT), Certified Pilates Instructor (CPI), beachcomber, sea glass collector, avid bird watcher, animal lover, oily enthusiast, and a mama of 3! Her dharma is to share all the true power of energy healing! 🙏

Deb Fraine

Deb has been practicing yoga for 20 years and is a registered member of Yoga Alliance having completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Donna Pagliarani at the Dharma Connection in Sandwich, MA. “As a yoga instructor my goal is to integrate my knowledge as an outpatient orthopedic occupational therapist into my yoga classes by helping to prevent injury with sequences that stretch and strengthen the core, neck, back, shoulders, quadriceps, hamstrings, hips, shoulders, wrists and hands.”

Joey Machado

Joey received his 200-hour training certification from Kripalu four years ago where he studied with Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman, and Shiva Rea. Joey’s passion is allowing yoga to be accessible no matter the circumstance. He teaches Kripalu yoga, gentle, moderate, power and chair yoga. He is also certified as a personal trainer by the American College of Sports Medicine.  He has been successfully training people for more than 11 years.

Joelene Marinone

Joelene has been practicing yoga for 27 years and teaching yoga for 20 years. She has trained in Reiki ll, energy medicine traditions, and many different types of yoga such as Kundalini, Iyengar, Anusara, Restorative, and Yin, all of which add to her teaching and understanding of embodiment. Joelene believes that yoga truly is a healing practice of mind/body and a wonderful way to spend time with yourself.

Jo Norton

Jo is a life lone fitness enthusiast. She is retired from her corporate role as Global VP of HR and now fully devotes herself to sharing her passion for fitness. Jo has spent years studying body movement., weight training, Pilates. yoga and barre. She has her certification in Pilates and functional aging, and has completed coursework in Physiology and Anatomy UMASS Amherst.

Linda Vivino

Linda has been practicing yoga for 25 years. She has been guided and inspired by many of our own beloved tri-town yoga teachers. Linda practices yoga to live a fulfilled and enjoyable life. She believes if you own your breath, no one can steal your peace. In 2020 Linda received her 200-hour YTT with David Vendetti of the revolutionary Yoga Liberation Front. David Vendetti’s teaching style is “fun and smart stretching, with a little conditioning”. Linda hopes you join her on the mat so you too can feel nourished, refreshed, and balanced.

Jessica Gemme

 Jessica is a former high school and middle school teacher who has a passion for reconnecting the mind, and body through trauma-informed yoga. She is a native of Marion and a mother of a teenage son attending ORRJHS. Jessica believes strongly in the healing power of yoga to help release stagnant and build up energy. in the physical and subtle body. through guided movement. breathwork and mindful awareness, Jessica’s goal is to help her students heal, and find their way back to their authentic selves.

Carol Lucey

 Carol is a 200-RYT receiving her Maha Yoga Certification in July 2017, under the mentorship of Diane Lagadec. She is also certified to teach the Pretzel Kids Curriculum founded by “Robyn Parents,” and received this certification in Nov. 2017. She teaches to all levels and ages!

Carol draws from her life experience and enjoys sharing the practice of yoga with others. Her classes help to generate a peaceful presence on and off the mat. Her hope for her students is to feel this internal peace extend outward as they enter back into their busy daily lives. Yoga has taught Carol this sense of calm and peace, a simple reminder to stop and wants to share with others.

Carol has been an amateur poet since childhood, with a longtime goal of publishing a book of my poems someday.

Kerry Hayes

Kerry is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. As a lifelong athlete and professional with the Southcoast YMCA facilities, Kerry has developed safe, fun, and effective workouts for all age groups.  She is passionate about getting people to “just move” and stresses the importance of health and wellness, not just physically, but mentally as well.

 

Susan Amaral, ASCM, FSM, CPI

Susan has always had a passion for fitness. She started working out at the age of 15. After working in the food industry and medical area for quite some time. Susan found her niche in fitness. IN May of 2017, Susan completed a Personal Trainer Program at MTTI in Seekonk, Ma. In addition, she holds many certifications in Pilates Mat I, FSM, and Spin. She is continuously pursuing other certifications to add to her tool belt. Susan loves to teach an eclectic class influenced by all she has mastered.

Susan receives great satisfaction in helping students feel better about themselves and encourages them to reach their full potential. Fitness and teaching have rewarded her great satisfaction in watching others grow.

 

Serina Saucier

Serina is a certified personal trainer and Group Fitness instructor. She loves teaching POUND. Group Power, Group Active and Group Fight classes (similar to Kickboxing.) She feels beyond lucky that her career and hobbies are the same things! She is greateful to do what she loves for a libing, sharing her passion of fitness with others, and helping others find their mindbody conncetion through rhythm and movement. She strives to inspire people to push themselves in a safe, fun, and energetic environment, and find their inner rockstar! 

Cassandra Alves

Cassandra Alves draws upon 15 years of dance, ballet , tap and jazz experience. Beginning at the young age of 3, she fell in love with rhythm and movement.

She found ZUMBA in 2019. Her passion began as a hobby and healthier habit, and before she knew it she was hooked! Cassandra completed her ZUMBA certification/ licensure In January of 2020. Zumba is a form of fitness class in which you burn off calories by dancing to different kinds of lively tunes, often Latin-American inspired such as salsa, merengue and samba, but also other types of modern music like hip hop and Bollywood (music from the Indian film industry) class.

She then stumbled upon POUND , when a Zumba class she was TO attend was cancelled. Another movement filled class that she just had to learn more about! She fell in love and completed her certification in POUND in June of 2021. In addition she completed the Level up training in November of 2021.

Cassandra enjoys spending time with her cats, and out with friends. When she’s not teaching and grooving, she enjoys a nice long nap.

Shawn Sweet

Shawn is Barre Fitness certified through the internationally accredited American Barre Technique program. Having spent 16 years in dance, Barre has allowed her to stay connected to her roots while inspiring others to find a love for health and fitness.

Shawn has also obtained certifications in Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, Life Coaching, Health and Nutrition, Aromatherapy, Herbal Medicine and Reiki, as well as completed courses in both Mentoring and Mindfulness.

Shawn’s goal is to motivate others to find their best self. She enjoys getting to know her students and watching them gain endurance and strength throughout their Barre journey.
