Mindfulness and Meditation: The practice of a Good Life.
Led by Peter Bidstrup
Time: 4-6 pm
Date: Sunday, February 19th
Member $35 | Non/Member $40
The workshop includes information about mindfulness and how meditation is a daily training that supports the development of one’s mindfulness. Students will learn how mindfulness becomes a way of “being” in the world; how the practice reduces stress; and allows one to move through daily life in a more peaceful, less reactive way. Finally, participants will learn how to use mindfulness as a foundation to build new habits which move them toward becoming their ideal selves.
As a teacher, I incorporate this into my daily life. I have a set of routines to ensure that I practice. This training has been the primary reason I have become happy and prosperous again after the loss of my wife to cancer in 2014. As a former highly successful coach; (8 league championships) and college hall of fame athlete, I understand the importance of practice and self-discipline and use the techniques I developed over my lifetime as a coach and athlete; to train myself and others.
